SMELLS LIKE CHILDREN

The Smells Like Children EP consists of remixes from the band's the first studio album Portrait Of An American Family, covers and short sound experiments. It was the cover of Eurythmics' 1983 hit Sweet Dreams that introduced the band to the MTV audience and lifted the band immediatly to mainstream fame.

"Sweet Dreams was a carefully placed piece of cheese on a rat trap. That lured in a lot of people that wouldn't have normally heard of Marilyn Manson. But in that they got their neck snapped on the rat trap. They didn't bargain for the other stuff they were gonna get" (MM in Request Magazine)

ADDITIONAL INFO
Chinese release of the album. Like a lot of Asian versions of albums it has lower quality reproductions of the official releases. The back cover is taken from the European release (it reads: "All trademarks and logos are protected. Made in the E.C. IND92641"). The cover sleeve is a folded one (unlike the official 2 sided cover). The inside of this 4 page booklet shows a closeup from the picture on the back. The disc has a poorly tiled print of the cover image. The inlay cover is plain green. Unlike the official releases, this bootleg comes with a slipcase.
